Often our guests comment on the stone walls in CT and how they are every where. Well yes its true they are every where, the result of clearing the fields for planting, you have to do something with them! We have excelent examples of flat ledge walls here on the John Meech homestead. Some even have built in steps! One wall called a "ha ha" surrounds the front lawn, an english way of keeping the livestock off the front yard!
The "barn yard GRILS" and their fellows have become a popular subject for picutres here on the farm. Organic free ranging chickens = fresh eggs with yolks a rich dark orange! Bonus...BUG patrol...
