The days are filled with so much color and the nights crisp and clear. Frosty mornings have started and our wood stove too! Its the kind of weather that makes you want to throw on a vest , some gloves and go for a walk in the leaves! Which is a fav of mine. I love the sound the leaves make as you shuffle along. In fact I wont rake until they have all fallen from the trees. The blanket leaves create to me is beautiful! The smell can't even be duplicated by Yankee Candle and the joy to throw them in the air is unmatched!
When I see the bright orange center of the yellow husk of bittersweet among the branches I know its truly fall. Mother nature has provided for us so much eye candy and this is one of my favorites. The viney branches of this sometimes pesky plant tangle them selves in their host neighbors.Everything bout this vine says Autumn! Gather it and weave some into your life today!
Wishing our boney friend "Happy First Anniversary" as they have returned to the Dead and Breakfast to celebrate! This couple wed here last Autumn in a gathering of wispy friends and ghoulish spirits!
Stop by anytime until Nov 1 to wish them happy anniversary!
Scarecrow festival is today!
Visit our historic town and see the talent of the local scarecrow builders! This great our door event will take place just a mile from Roseledge Country Inn at the Preston Congregational Church!
Stop by our shop and get you mums, maple syrup, honey and see what other surprises we have in store for you!
The last few days have just been delightful! Bright sunny days and cool nights, perfect for sleeping. The moon flowers are just now flowering and they are making quite a statement. So pure white on a dark green back ground...stunning.
Though lots of our hardy mums went to new homes over the weekend we still have a great selection!
9" are $4.99 full and nicely shaped
12" are HUGE and $ 19.99
This last weekend was simply amazing, the weather could not have been better! Happy people stopping in, on adventures, picking apples or visiting our local vineyards...it was all GOOD!
Sunny and bright is the day as the zinnias of summer are colorful!.The kind of day that makes you want to get outside and do something. Hike, walk, take pictures, garden, anything as long as is out in bright sunshine and cool air. Baking some cookies this morning for our afternoon check ins, then is out to pick some fresh flowers and take some pictures!
Maybe some rearranging in our shop as a BIG load of mums came in late yesterday afternoon!
Summer is still around and it was a hot and humid day here on the farm yesterday! Customers stopping into the shop to grab some mums in bathing suits crack me up! But these days are going to be few and far between as we are almost in the middle of the month now. So ya gotta take em when you get em! The gold finches are loving the late summer flowers gobbling up all their seeds as they die back. You know the more golden they get the closer we get to winter!
Today I am going to finish the new sign and move more plants into the back yard sale site! Stop in to say hi!

The leaves are falling today and the skies are grey and its cool. In fact I hear there is a frost warning for tomorrow morning. Now that is just crazy as the beginning of the week it was so hot and muggy the AC was on. Well they say if you live in New England and you don't like the weather wait a minute it will change! How true.
We hosted the Mystic Chamber of Commerce before hours this morning and I had my fingers crossed it was not going to be raining! I wanted to have host it in our front gardens, they love so pretty now with all the mums and cabbages in. White linen table clothes on and fall flowers in tall vases. The weather held out and we had a nice show of area businesses. Dawns cinnamon buns were the first to go followed by our blueberry cream french toast. Yum!
